This is the first page of children's book, whether it remains so will depend of I change the story or not. It still needs tidying up in places and bits and pieces that need tightening up. Also in terms of way of working, I bit of departure, paint is a lot thicker and a lot more blending of colour and texture.
EDIT: I have sharpened up the painting and changed some of the detail. The sky has changed the most.
wow greg, this is pretty special looking stuff. i love the brush strokes and colours, it looks very rich. the moon really does look like its glowing.
hey, it was a shame not to see you a few weeks ago. not many people made it, and i easily could have gone without seeing some of them. quite a few of the people i miss most didnt make it, and you are right that if there is someone you want to stay in contact with then you will, regardless of whether you make it to a re-union. you are also right that nothing much has changed in the last year, apart from a certain couple getting wed, and isnt likely to change dramatically for a long time.
anyway, hope all is good with you and fi and life xxx
hi hailey, thanks for the kind words regarding my paintings. Its still very much a work in progress but I'll see where it goes.
Anyway, as for the re-union, I have always held a certain bitterness about things like that in general. I don't think a could pretend to be nice to people I don't really like. It seems like a pointless exercise, especially after a year, and I am not alone in thinking that. I could go on but I expect you don't really want to me to vent my opinion.
Fiona is fine, I currently live in Alison's (uni print tech) house as she travels the world for a year. The third floor is a huge art studio, where the four of us; Fiona, myself, Simon and his girlfriend work. It was the main reason Fi and me, decided to live here.
I hope all's good in Hailey's world and its good to hear from you.

This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and =Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
